Presentation
Located in Granges, the Golf Club de Sierre covers an area of 55 hectares.
Bordered to the north by the Rhone embankment, to the east by the village of Granges, to the south by the Sion - Grône cantonal road and to the west by the Poutafontana protected area, the 18-hole course was designed by architects Maurice Bembridge, Michel Zufferey, Alain Dehaye and Jean-Claude Renggli, in collaboration with the State and environmental associations.
The aim was to build with respect for the environment (flora and fauna) and for the various associations that have claimed the right to use the banks of the Brêche and Corne lakes (fishermen, friends of the gouille, divers, walkers).
