The purpose of this personal data protection policy (hereinafter "Privacy Policy") is to describe the types of personal data we collect, how and why we collect, process and use such data, and to inform you of certain rights you have in this respect.

1. Who is responsible for processing your personal data

is responsible for data processing carried out in accordance with this data protection policy.

iomedia sa is a limited company under Swiss law.  

Personal data is processed in accordance with the Swiss Federal Data Protection Act (FADP).

2. What personal data do we process?

Subject to certain functions or content (e.g. when communicating with us), you can use our website without providing us with personal data such as your name or e-mail address. In this case, we may collect data generated in the course of using our website, such as IP address, operating system of your device, region and time of use. In principle, technical data as such is anonymized and is not considered personal data.

We may also collect data in connection with your visit to our site. For this purpose, we use small text files called "cookies", which are stored on your computer or mobile terminal (see our cookie handling policy). These cookies generally contain an anonymous identification number to enable us to recognize repeat visitors and to obtain information on visitor behavior. A distinction is made between cookies that are necessary for site operation, performance cookies, which analyze site usage for optimization purposes, and marketing cookies, which collect information about the content consulted and other actions within the site. You can, however, configure your browser to control the management (blocking or deletion) of cookies (see our cookie handling policy).

Finally, if, in the course of your visit to our website, you provide us with personal data (e.g. by registering for a newsletter, filling in a contact form, exchanging e-mails, placing an order or similar), we process the data provided in a personalized manner.

3. For what purposes do we process personal data?

The data collected may be processed in particular for the following purposes:

  • ensure the smooth running of the website and its optimization
  • obtain consultation statistics
  • communicate with you (e.g. by sending a newsletter or responding to an e-mail request)
  • manage marketing relations with our customers (e.g. sending personalized offers or advertising, carrying out market research)
  • execute contracts - in the case of online sales, for example

4. To whom do we pass on your personal data?

Your personal data is mainly processed by our manager, Lucas Cucinotta.

In certain cases, we may need to pass on your personal data to certain suppliers or subcontractors who act on our behalf for operational reasons, as well as to third parties and authorities when required by applicable laws and/or when necessary to defend our rights.

For some online services, we may use the services of third parties (such as YouTube, Facebook, X, Instagram). These service providers may collect and process personal data as data controllers. We encourage you to consult the conditions and privacy policies of these service providers directly.

5. How do we communicate your personal data abroad?

We process and store your personal data mainly in Switzerland. Exceptionally, however, we may also do so outside Switzerland, for example via subcontractors of our service providers. In such cases, and in accordance with applicable laws, the transfer of personal data may take place insofar as the recipient country ensures a level of personal data protection deemed adequate, or if this level is accompanied by appropriate safeguards.

6. How do we protect your personal data?

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to ensure the protection of your personal data. Our aim is to protect you against unjustified and unlawful processing, and to counter risks such as loss, accidental alteration, unwanted disclosure or unauthorized access. However, as security risks can never be completely excluded, a certain residual risk is inevitable.

7. How long do we keep your personal data?

We store personal data

  • for as long as is necessary to achieve the purposes for which the personal data was collected,
  • as long as we have a legitimate interest in keeping them,
  • for as long as the law requires

After the expiry of the above-mentioned periods, we will delete or anonymize your data if there is no legal or contractual obligation to do so.

8. What are your rights regarding the processing of your personal data?

You have various rights in connection with our data processing under applicable law, including :

  • the right to receive a copy of your personal data
  • the right to rectify any inaccurate or incomplete personal data
  • the right to object to the processing of your personal data for legitimate reasons and to the use of such data for prospecting purposes
  • the right to revoke your consent at any time  
  • the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.

To exercise your rights against us, please contact us in writing with a copy of your ID so that we can rule out any abuse.
